Analysis Of The United States Is Responsible For A Film...
Bivariate Analysis The United States is responsible for a film industry that is forever expanding and making a world of difference to films being screened worldwide. Primarily there are two types of films that a studio will choose to produce. The first being a blockbuster film which is defined as ââ¬Å"a very popular or successful, usually big budget production.â⬠Blockbuster films are generically very popular with the public and captivate the audience. The public become invested in these movies through the advertising of the film and have a strong inclination to watch the film when theyââ¬â¢re released. Their intention as defined by Wikipedia is toââ¬Å"emphasize spectacle, star power, and high production value, all of which entail an enormous budgetâ⬠(Wikipedia, 2015). The second type of film produced is an independent film produced mostly or completely outside of the major film studio system. Whilst both films have differing objectives and production techniques, they both share a co mmon requirement; the ability to make a profit from their effort. The overall expenditure of a film is usually split into creative and technical costs which cover all bases of the costs involved with creating a film. It is therefore considerably important for a film to earn ample profit in order to not only cover the cost involved with creating the movie, but for a sizeable profit to be made. Issue, or proceed, as from a source or origin; come forth Dire-causing or involving great fear or suffering Florid-obsolete Retribution-requital according to merits or deserts Aesthetic-pertaining to a sense of the beautiful 2) The lesson of the story to me is the consequences of your actions. Poor prisoners of the king are forced to choose one of two doors which hold behind them either life or death. And then the princess of course has the difficult choice to make whether he should tell her lover the truth about who Is behind which door or not. 3) Examples of irony is when the narrator says that the minds of the kings subjects are refined* and cultured* by witnessing the events in the arena. This statement is Ironic because a person being slaughtered Is neither refining nor cultural. We are also told that the princess finds out that the lady chosen to be behind the door Just happens to be a woman the princess was already jealous of. She has to choose whether or not to give her lover to a woman she hates, or to a tiger that will kill the accused person was instantly punished, and there was no escape from the judgments of the kings arena-.NET of Innocence or guilt up to chance Is very Ironic. 4) The author is basically saturating the worth of human life. One example is the king judgment system to see if the accused is innocent or not. Or how the princess is thinking of which would be better for her to either let her lover be with the lady shes jealous of or to let the tiger slaughter her lover. ) Yes the author gives us clues as Into what Is behind the door. One clue Is that the princess knows the lady behind the or but we find out that the princess is not a fan of her. So this leads me to believe that she rather see her lover dead than with the lady behind the door. 6) I think the tiger Is behind the door because the princess wouldnt want to see her lover with another women. I think that she rather see him In the afterlife where they can be happy and together. 7) I feel that the author leaves the ending to the reader as a thought producer for us to assume what we think would happen due to our personality. The story would be deferent it ended with one of the choices because we loud get a different lesson or theme about the story. Also the fact that we get the full story would mean we arent asked to interpret the story ends. 8) He turned and with a firm and rapid step he walked across the empty space. Every heart stopped beating, every breath was held, and every eye was fixed immovably on that man. Without the slightest hesitation, he went to the door on the right and opened It. The door revealed a crack of light, only showing the smallest hint of what wandered behind the heavy stone. In the proceeding seconds, the waif braced himself for what ay ahead. More light shone through and when his eyes only saw the color of orange, and began to smile knowing that he would be with his love. His heart was like a ticking bomb waiting for the beast to pounce. Waiting for the agonizing thing they call time, for he expected that the explosion of fatality would be quick and painless. 1 OFF mass of guts and bones, but in peace nonetheless. Obviously, the princess had pondered on the verdict of the tiger in her many sleepless nights preceding her lovers trial and as she watched the man with her dull ray eyes, she pondered again.Knowing that the plan was to do suicide so that she could be with her love. Her father mustve thought her lover was Just too subordinate, the princess thought. He didnt even give him the right to his own name. A single tear slid down her face as the highness attempted to conceal her emotion. Inside, her heart of glass shattered for what seemed like the thousandth time. Every day, every night she cried herself to sleep, she tried to piece it back together And failed. Time and time again, the voices in her head consoled her. IOW made the right choice, theyd say. IOW did it for the good of your kingdom, your people. As much as she wanted to believe it, she couldnt help but think that her conscience was wrong. It seemed like there were devils on both of her shoulders. All I wanted to do was love you, she cried. Now even that is impossible. The gentleman was taken shocked when the doorway had become completely exposed and even more surprised when the orange his eyes beheld the previous moment wasnt a tiger, but instead the glittering sequins on the soon to be brides dress. For a brief moment the man glanced in the princesss direction. The gaze they shared happened to be an uncomfortable one. The woman stared with cold eyes of focus and if the man didnt know any better, he mightier seen sorrow. The eyes of the subject however contained confusion a very large amount of it. When his pupils questioned why, her answer was simple. I love you! The princess lowered her head and closed her eyes. She couldnt bear to witness the holy matrimony. She didnt want to be watching her lover be wedded by another, knowing she wasnt one of them. With the bride and groom holding hands, the hired preacher read from an old leather book. The words he spoke resembled love, togetherness, and finding comfort. The man, whose eyes were fixed on the princess sobbing on her throne, found none of these. The vows came around and the maiden repeated the old mans words with a soft smile. When the gentlemans turn came however, he let go of the lady hands. l cant. he whimpered. He walked in the direction of the royal family and stared at the tear stained highness. She looked up. A second later, her feet hurriedly carried her down the tone steps leading to the arena. What are you doing? She asked, with a sadden tone. Mimi have to. she begged. I love you. he confessed. His expression said otherwise. l love you to. The princess wiping her tears. But the arena Judgment is final! she cried. So well find the only exit left where we can be happy together he replied With that, the man and princess knowing that they couldnt be together in the living world. Walked with a solid step right up to the unopened stone door Now in a trance-like state, they opened the door together to escape there nightmare.

The Spirit and Personality of Man free essay sample
The Spirit and Personality of Man In your opinion, how is the spirit and personality linked? Where does the idea of a spirit fit within your own theory of personality? What is the spirit of a man? Where did our personalities come from? What influences our personality? We know that our environment which includes our family, culture and communitiesââ¬â¢ influence us but what is behind our personalities? Should we think of the self as a complex chemical substance or as a spirit? We find ourselves identified with God in Genesis 1:26 (New International Version) in this book the Lord God is found speaking to other members of the Godhead and says, ââ¬Å"Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may ruleâ⬠, in Genesis 2:7 (NIV), he continues to tell us about our creation in the next chapter by saying, ââ¬Å"the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. We will write a custom essay sample on The Spirit and Personality of Man or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page This tells us that our personality comes from God and that it is he that has made us and not we ourselvesâ⬠Psalms 100: 3 (NIV). From a biblical standpoint of view it tells us that we come from God and that our personality is mostly spiritual since Adam had no life until God breathed into him and we likewise. When people die the body is lifeless and is returned to the ground. The Jewish, Christian and Muslim communities believe in the God of heaven (who is a Spirit, John 4:24) and that we took our personalities from him.On the flip side of that Satan worshipers believe that Satan (who is a spirit) is greater than God and they devoutly worship him and are lead by his Principalities, Power and Rulers in their everyday life. That seems to be about or close to half of the worldââ¬â¢s population which believes that a spirit being controls their mind, will, and emotions. This informs us of where (I believe) we come from and where our personalities come from. No one, or no thing, is an island unto itself (Hoffman, 1993). Many people believe that we are sovereign unto ourselves, and that there is Godââ¬â¢s ways (personality), my ways, and the Devils ways and that is not true. When Adam sinned against God, he gave authority over to Satan which allowed the kingdom of darkness a legal obligation to oppress, and possess me when they sin. Although we did not see happen physically nor do we see it reoccurring physically today, we see the result of the relationship between sin, personality and evil spirit.Every week or two I log on to scoan. org to watch Christian services by Prophet T. B. Joshua. Prophet T. B. Joshua is a Christian, minister, televangelist and faith healer. He is leader and founder of the ministry organization The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) located in Lagos, Nigeria. Most of time during his services before he begins to pray he says, ââ¬Å"Whatever your situation is, whatever your problem is, it might be sickness, disease, cancer, bad luck; whatever your problem, a Demon is behind itâ⬠.Then when he begins to lead his congregation in prayer people who are possessed or oppressed by demons began to crawl, slither, gag, spit, and sometimes even want to fight him. What about these peopleââ¬â¢s personality causes them to behave inhumanly? I would say they are faking but I grew up around the same church environment, plus it is common to read about Demons reacting to Jesus the same way in Mark 9:14 ââ¬â 20 (New International Version), the man with a deaf and dumb spirit, Mark 1:23-24, King James Version, a man with an unclean spirit in the synagogue, and the man with a legion of demons (Mark 5:15 NIV). When the man with the legion of demon had them cast out he was instantly changed from being a savage, into a man of solitude, a sound mind and peace. I do not understand how our spirit and personality actually connected but I do understand that the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of darkness are in a war to save or destroy the spirit and personality of man. The bible says that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

History paper - Essay Example This time, though, the rising urban class of shopkeepers and artisans, known as the bourgeoisie, continued the struggle, focusing it against the noble landowning class that had traditionally been the support of the monarchy. With the bourgeoisie success, the noble class was pulled down, the king along with it as its figurehead, and replaced by the First Republic. In many ways, the search for the reasons and participants can be found in the theories brought forward by Karl Marx, such as in the popular protest movements of the day which provide a more accurate view of both how the monarchy lost its favor and who was most in control of the political and social changes that were happening in those years. French society at the time of the Revolution was very similar to most of the other countries of Europe of the period in that it had an absolute monarchy that followed much the same pattern of rule that had been established by Louis XIV in the early 1700s. As a part of this system, there was an aristocratic class that held most of the status and wealth of the nation in a feudal-type system and a merchant class called the bourgeoisie that, at times, held enough wealth to rival the nobles, but had none of the political clout. There was ââ¬Å"a vast peasantry accounting for one in seven or one in eight of the population, most of who were legally free but bound to their seigneur â⬠¦ by a myriad of services and obligations surviving from the medieval past. â⬠¦ And, in cities, â⬠¦ a great urban population of innumerable crafts and occupations, for the most part poor and depending for survival on cheap and plentiful breadâ⬠(Rude 1995). What made France different from thes e other countries that shared so many attributes was the fact that the French bureaucracy had been allowed to gain enough wealth to make them independent of the crown that had given them such

Financial Planning - Essay Example The role of three companies, like Colonial First State Investments Limited and Professional Investment Services Pty Ltd related to provide financial planning services has been sorted out in the assigned study. The of Financial planning in Australia begun in the years 80s, as during those years there were no Financial Planners as they were not existing then. This occurred due to the fact that as there was no prerequisites for the clients within the Marketplace to enable them get efficient financial advice. It was only network of insurance that existed during that period under review. The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) is the peak professional body for Australia's financial planners, representing approximately 12,000 individuals and businesses (The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA). However, (Cowen, Blair, Taylor, 2006, p 4) reveals that "In the early 1980s, a leading Australian financial planning industry stalwart Gwen Fletcher visited the United States intent on pursuing discussions with the U.S. industry association, the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP). These discussions related to the creation of either a new industry body for A ustralia or the establishment of an affiliated chapter of the IAFP. At a later meeting of dealers conducted by the Department of Corporate Affairs (the then-regulatory body issuing licenses to dealers of securities), the affiliation model was proposed but rejected. However, a new industry body consisting of an elite group of independent advisors was formed, the Association of Independent Professional Advisors (AIPA). It is important to note that this group excluded all banks and insurance companies from membership". Additionally, following the International Conference of IAFP held in Australia in the years 1982 and 1984 respectively, Australian IAFP was officially launched. (Cowen, Blair, Taylor, 2006, p 4) states that after the launching, "The IAFP in Australia was to be an open forum for individuals, dealers and fund managers alike. Following U.S. IAFP requirements, the newly formed Australian association sought and was granted a license for the CFP designation and subsequently established the Diploma of Financial Planning (DFP) course. This necessitated strong collaboration between the United States and Australian bodies with the College of Financial Planning in the United States providing much of the DFP educational materials and resources. The US IAFP oversaw and closely monitored the development of educational standards to ensure that the Australian DFP met the educational requirements for the CFP designation. This involved an ongoing process of quality assurance by the U.S. body". It is e stimated that there are about 5,500 financial planning practices in
